South Korea investigates 'treason' charges against individuals involved in martial law declaration

Today (6 December 2014), foreign news agencies reported that the head of the National Investigation Agency, an agency of the South Korean National Police Agency, revealed that they have begun investigating those involved in the declaration of martial law on charges of rebellion, following a request from the opposition party and activist groups. The individuals to be investigated include the president, the Chief of Staff of the Army, the Minister of the Interior, and a former Minister of Defense.
